Dr Shailaja Nair FRACP, M Phil (Med Sc), FGM, MRCP (UK), MBBS
Currently on leave, exploring a life immersed in nature
Shailaja is a Consultant Geriatrician at the Aged and Extended Care Services, The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, CAHLN. She been working in the medical field for the last 20 years. A culmination of Influences ranging from her own regular yoga and meditation practise, increasing awareness within the scientific community of the body-mind relationship in health and personal life challenges led to her to explore mindfulness. Although this was initially for her own personal development, recognising the increasing burden experienced by health care staff, who have the responsibility of providing care to others, she was inspired to begin sharing this with health care colleagues.
“Remember to care for yourselves; you can’t pour from an empty cup”

MSCP Admin support
In choosing an admin team, it was important to have those who resonated with the core values and attitudes of mindful self care programs.
Kara Gillett was our first admin person and was instrumental in setting up the various processes designed to ease participant engagement.
Levina Clark seamlessly took over in August 2018 and continues to kindly and efficiently respond to all admin matters.
Alana Gregory designed the website and Juju Haifawi provided the graphic design for the booklets.
